Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities and pitch relevant agri-input products to potential customers.​
  • Develop a strong base of retailers and distributors in untapped areas.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to farmers regarding product application and dosage.
  • Organize retailer meets, exhibitions, and branding activities to enhance partner engagement.
  • Negotiate trade terms, margins, and targets with B2B partners to ensure profitable business relationships. ​ 

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / B.Sc./M.sc
  • Fresher– 6 years of field sales experience (Agri input industry preferred).

Key Responsibilities 


🔹 Sales & Business Development

• Promote and sell agri-input products (fertilizers, pesticides, micronutrients, etc.) to distributors, retailers, and agri-dealers.

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets within the allocated territory.

• Expand the distribution network by identifying and onboarding new channel partners.

 • Conduct joint sales visits with retailers/distributors to enhance product push and field-level execution.

🔹 Market Intelligence

• Conduct regular market visits to assess channel partner performance, market demand, and competitor activities.

• Track pricing trends, dealer margins, and seasonal fluctuations impacting business.

• Collect actionable feedback from channel partners for product development and customer service improvement.

• Identify new business opportunities in untapped rural/semi-urban markets.

🔹 Customer & Channel Engagement

• Build strong working relationships with distributors, retailers, and agri-dealers to ensure long-term partnerships.

• Organize retailer/dealer meetings, training sessions, and incentive programs to boost engagement.

 • Ensure timely resolution of partner queries, product complaints, and delivery issues.

🔹 Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain accurate daily sales records, distributor-wise performance reports, and beat plans.

• Coordinate with supply chain/logistics for smooth and timely dispatch of goods.

• Follow up on billing, stock availability, and credit/payment status with channel partners.

• Liaise with internal departments (accounts, marketing, operations) for business support.
